This Privacy Policy describes how Syqora Group ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information about visitors to syqora.com and people who contact us about freight, sourcing, or government procurement services.

Syqora Group is a Delaware corporation operating from offices in Tustin, California (USA) and Guangzhou (China). We are FMC-licensed NVOCC #118446 and SAM-registered federal contractor CAGE 16BS4.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you give us directly

When you submit a contact form, RFQ, blog subscription, or service finder on our website, we collect:

• Name and company name
• Email address and phone number
• Cargo details, shipment origin/destination, target dates, and any notes you include
• The service category you indicate interest in (freight, sourcing, government, etc.)
• The page on our site where you submitted

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit syqora.com, our hosting provider (Netlify) automatically logs:

• Your IP address
• Browser type, version, and operating system
• Pages visited, time spent, and referring URL
• Approximate geographic location (city or region level)

If we add analytics tools (such as Google Analytics 4 or a privacy-friendly alternative), those services may set cookies or use similar technologies. We will list active analytics tools here when in use.

2.3 Information from third parties

If we receive a shipment booking, RFQ, or business inquiry on behalf of a client, we may collect identifying and transactional information from the parties involved (importer of record, consignee, freight carriers, customs brokers, factory contacts). This information is collected and used as part of the freight forwarding, sourcing, or procurement work we perform.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Respond to your inquiry, prepare quotes, and provide the freight, sourcing, or procurement services you request
• Coordinate shipments, file regulatory documents (such as ISF, CBP 5106, customs entries), and manage federal contract obligations
• Improve the website and understand which content is useful
• Send you operational updates about active shipments or contracts
• Comply with applicable US, China, and international law (including FMC, CBP, and federal contracting regulations)
• If you opted in: send you blog updates and other educational content (you can unsubscribe at any time)

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only as follows:

4.1 With service providers we use to operate our business

• Hosting and forms: Netlify (server logs, form submissions)
• Email: our business email providers and any email marketing platform we use
• Carriers and brokers: ocean carriers, customs brokers, drayage operators, factories, and other supply chain partners involved in executing your shipment or contract
• Government agencies: CBP, FMC, SAM.gov, and other US or foreign government bodies when required for customs filings, federal contracting, or other regulated activity

4.2 For legal reasons

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, subpoena, or to protect the legal rights, property, or safety of Syqora Group, our clients, or others.

4.3 In a business transfer

If Syqora Group is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. You will be notified by email or a prominent notice on our website before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

5. Your Rights

5.1 California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

• Know what personal information we have collected about you
• Request deletion of your personal information
• Correct inaccurate personal information
• Opt out of "selling" or "sharing" personal information (we do not do either)
• Non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights

5.2 European Economic Area, UK, Switzerland residents (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Request correction or erasure
• Object to or restrict processing
• Data portability
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

The legal basis for our processing is generally legitimate interest (running our business, responding to your inquiry, executing your shipment) or contract performance (when you have engaged us as a service provider). Email legal@syqora.com to exercise any of these rights.

6. Cookies and Tracking

Our site currently does not set advertising or tracking cookies. We may use first-party cookies for essential site functionality (such as remembering your form progress) and, if we enable analytics, for measuring traffic patterns. You can disable cookies in your browser settings without affecting your ability to read or contact us via the site.

7. Data Retention

We keep information only as long as we need it to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

• Contact form / inquiry data: 3 years from last interaction, unless you ask us to delete it sooner
• Active shipment and contract records: 5 years after closure, as required by FMC and federal contracting recordkeeping rules
• Customs records: 5 years from the date of import, per CBP requirements
• Email marketing list: until you unsubscribe
• Server logs: typically 30-90 days at the hosting provider level

8. International Data Transfers

Syqora Group operates from offices in California (USA) and Guangzhou (China). Information you submit may be processed in either jurisdiction, as well as by service providers in other countries. We use commercially reasonable safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers from the EEA) where applicable.

9. Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we hold, including encrypted transport (HTTPS/TLS), role-based access controls, and vetted service providers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to make sure ours meets industry standards. See our Security Disclosures for the responsible disclosure process.

10. Children

Our services and website are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have done so, we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective" date at the top of the policy. For material changes, we will provide additional notice (such as an email to people who have given us their email address or a prominent notice on the homepage).
